    No Start 1984 euro 320i

Well I got an imported 1984 euro 320i last year, and was finally home this summer to start working on it. When I first got it, it was able to run, but very poorly. The fuel lines blew, and I figured it was getting air and low fuel pressure. this summer I replaced the lines, but now I am having some sort of electrical issue preventing it from starting.

It is getting fuel to the rail, but the injectors are not firing. They fire when manually grounded. The cold start injector on the manifold also fires only when manually grounded. I am thinking it may be a ground effecting the whole system.

Does anyone know where I can find all of the grounds on an m20b20, with L-JETRONIC. Not Motronic. I have already cleaned the negative terminal ground, ground from the valve cover to the body, and the ground from the oil pan to the frame. The ECU seems to be grounded through its mounting hardware, which are all in excellent shape.

Anyone familiar with L-Jetronic or the grounds?

Had one of these when I lived over in Germany and I hate to say it but I did a purge on them since they use more gas than a 325i or e and are slower than a M10 318i.

My suggestion is to swap in a proper M20b25 and enjoy it from there. Guessing you have finished your Academy stuff up.

I've been thinking of tossing the 2.0 too. I actually know of a e28 524td sitting in a shed, and thought it would awesome to make a 324td. Maybe someday. I have one more semester at the academy, cant wait to get out!
