Well I got an imported 1984 euro 320i last year, and was finally home this summer to start working on it. When I first got it, it was able to run, but very poorly. The fuel lines blew, and I figured it was getting air and low fuel pressure. this summer I replaced the lines, but now I am having some sort of electrical issue preventing it from starting.
It is getting fuel to the rail, but the injectors are not firing. They fire when manually grounded. The cold start injector on the manifold also fires only when manually grounded. I am thinking it may be a ground effecting the whole system.
Does anyone know where I can find all of the grounds on an m20b20, with L-JETRONIC. Not Motronic. I have already cleaned the negative terminal ground, ground from the valve cover to the body, and the ground from the oil pan to the frame. The ECU seems to be grounded through its mounting hardware, which are all in excellent shape.
Anyone familiar with L-Jetronic or the grounds?
