So I've been collecting all of my parts for my 2.7i swap, and eventually going to go boost.
In the next few months I plan to have the 2.7i swap completely done and the turbo in the works. This means I will be swapping the head, wiring harness, timing wheel, harness, exhaust, intake manifold...a lot. And I'm going to changing the oil pan for a pan with a drain plug. I figure if I am going to have my oil pan I should just pull the motor and transmission as a unit. This would just result in my putting a "cap" on the drain fitting.
Makes doing a lot of things a lot easier I think. Partly, I am currently on a stock (very good condition) clutch - but stock. As I understand it, the stock clutch is only solid to about 225-250whp so it seems that will likely need to be replaced as well...
Thoughts?
