Car ran like a champ. washed the engine bay. now no start. VIDEO.

    Hey guys.

car is my DD. never had an issue. drove it to the car was and said "hey, ill give the engine bay a wash." cleaned everything nicely. go to start and it just cranks. check connections, all is good, no start. pulled the plug off the coil and grounded it off my fender bolt and had no spark. decided to tow it home with the help of my fiancee behind my truck home.

i assumed i got the distributor wet and once it dried it would work. also checked the positive wire on the coil and im getting 12 volts.

went to start it tonight and this is what it does.

Hmmm, it happened to me once at the wash also, the 3 relays on the drivers side got all wet, cleaned them out and the sockeds and car started right back up, blow them out? Might be wet?

Sounds like it fuel starving. Check those three relays he mentioned in post above me. Make sure your getting plenty pressure to the rail.

Cool thanks for some direction! Ill pull them out and clean them with electrical cleaner and give it a try. I tried to purchase all new relays before but the autozone I was at had no insight to what they were. Is there a list of the ones I need to replace on here? Might as well change them out soon. I searched before but was un successful.

Ill update once I get home and try.

Here's the verdict. Plugs got wet, fouled, cleaned and now it's back on the road.

Glad it was something simple, usually is when it gets wet...
