A/C Compressor is making noise, easy fix?

My A/c compressor makes a weird metallic noise on cold starts. it lasts for a bout 2min or so and is gone. The noise is similar to brake rotors on a car that sits outside for awhile. Its really annoying and I want to know if anyone has had this problem or knows and easy fix?

your compressor is shot on the inside. it's better to just get another one. usually the oil is gone and you are hearing the piston rubbing on the inside

Thanks. I wasn't sure what to do, it still blows ice cold though is that normal?

yes. i just had a customer have the exact same issue. she had the car refilled with R12 and now it makes a horrible squeaking/metallic noise
