runs perfect except

My 1988 325 I 2.5 runs great but when I shut it down and go to refire it, when it is at operating temperature, it will not start unless I step on the gas, then it starts right up, yes it is fuel injected, things that make you go hummmm! Any help will be appreciated

You have a small vacuum leak. Check the elbows going into the throttle body. Warm engine can cause these things to come loose making it hard to start.
