    quick question with t-belt

If my timing belt is a little loose, will that cause idle issues?. My timing marks are lined up, but it's just a little looser then it should be. My rpm's will drop to 500 when I let off the gas then jump back up to idle speed, or some times shut off if I don't stay on the gas. I've checked just about everything, and all is working properly.

I don't think so, BTW why is your belt loose in the first place? The tensioner should push on it to make it spec tight.

I don't know. it doesn't feel like it was as tight as it was when I first put it on. Its a new tentioner, and doesn't it have one little slot on it where it bolts up to slide it tighter, or looser?. Also any comments on my idle issue I have posted up top?.
