    Constant misfiring once warm

My car is being weird and will run perfectly fine when cold but once it gets hot, it starts misfiring and backfiring constantly and today, for the first time, died while driving. After it died, I couldn't get it started again and had to get it towed to my friend's house.

It's an 87 325is and all ignition related things, other than the coil, have less than 2000 miles on them. I was thinking it was the coil wire that goes to the distributor but when I changed it, it didn't help at all.

In the midst of the misfiring, it also gets horrible gas mileage and runs extremely rich. I have run out of gas twice this week due to the fuel gauge not working (fuse 10 or 12 keeps blowing [another problem I need solved....]) but it has run fine since then until it gets warm.

I don't have too much time to hopefully figure out and fix what's wrong as I need to go to work and school.

    Can anyone help??

    Cliffs:
    Car runs fine when cold
misfires, backfires, run rich, and dies once warm
fuse 10 or 12 keeps blowing and I lose fuel gauge and temp gauge
    dunno what's wrong.
Working...
