Odd squeaks and engine temp varies VIDEO Added

Hey guys, once again my e30 is making funny noises. The first thing is a squeaking noise at idle, it is goes squeak squeak squeak at normal intervals at idle. Another problem I have been having since my manual swap is a loud squeak on start up, what happens is it cranks quietly and just as it is starting it lets out a loud single squeak noise. The last problem I have is the engine does not reach operating temperature and stick there. On my e46 after a few minutes of driving the engine reaches the mid point on the gauge and sticks there. On my e30 I drive and the engine reaches about 3/8 on the gauge and goes down as I drive on the highway and varies on normal roads. Is there a chance that my thermostat is stuck open?

Ill try to get a video of the noises tomorrow.

Any help is appreciated as always! Thank you to everyone in advance.

And on a scale of 1-10 what would you say my valve ticking is? I replaced the vcg a few thousand miles ago, if i adjust the valves would i need to do it again?

Verify that your engine is actually approaching overheating state with an IR thermometer. If you engine does not overheat then it is time for you to open up the cluster and look at your SI board. Corrosion on the board often leads to erratic temp reading. Also, check your fan clutch...a very common problem for a 25+ yrs old E30.

Temp will creep up when sitting still, fan clutch is fine.

          Thanks for the reply
