    "I" vs "E" Ignition wires.

Is there a difference between the "E" and "I" ignition wires and may you run the "I" wire set on an "E"?

It seems to me that all over ignition components are the same but these are different. I ask because I currently have an ETA that requires new wires but am having a built 2.8I swapped in come January. I'm under the impression they are just larger gauge and shouldn't be an issue when running the "I" on the "E".

Thanks for the quick help R3V!

The later "I" ignition wires replace the impulse sensor.

The looms are slightly different as well (the "I" looms sit about 1/2 higher off of the valve cover as compared to the "E" loom juts straight out). But this is largely cosmetic.

You can use the I wires on an ETA, but not vice versa.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
