    Shorter crank pulley bolts?

Sorry, wasn't sure exactly how to describe this thread.

I'm in the process of replacing my water pump and timing belt. I'm interested in running my car without the AC and PS, but don't want to remove (yet) -- just going to run it without those belts.

I don't really need the dual pulley that attaches to the crank for the AC/PS any more. If I'm looking at it right, it appears the alternator pulley lines up with the pulley that's on the crank timing sprocket.

So I'd like to just keep the dual pulley piece off the car and just attach the crank timing sprocket back (it's a 12/86 build, so it doesn't have a dampener here).

Does anyone do this? Is there a specific bolt type / dimension that people use? I could just go find a bolt that's a few mm shorter than the ones I pulled off, but just wanted to see if there's a common one that other people use.

    Thanks!

Use the bolts that secured the combination to the crank. There is enough depth in the hub to accommodate them.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
