    91 318is swap m20 help!

So I've been trying to do as much research as i could and its pretty confusing since not a lot of people have done write ups on this swap.
My m42 is slooowly giving out and i feel like she's going to give out on me soon. so that being said i figured doing an m20 swap, and turboing it later down the road. Only problem is that i don't know if its a plug and play, hopefully someone can help and give the right guidance.

    thanks!

wiring is plug and play, just need motor mounts, trans mounts and trans crossmember if I'm not mistaken.

Agreed as long as you have an m20 doner car with everything it's a very straight forward swap, as long as you use a 88+ m20 donar everything will match right up except the ground cable will be on the other side and the main/fuel pump relays will need attached somehow as the bracket to clip them to is absent on m42 cars.

thing is i don't have a donor car, i was able to find an m20 from an 89' with 180k miles and getrag 260 for cheap. just not sure what other parts i will need besides motor mounts, trans mounts, trans crossmember, ecu, wiring harness, lsd since my 4.10 is out (loud cranking sound), any thing else that might be needed or could be upgraded?
