    Stuttering power

So few weeks ago my car started to cut in and out while driving. While driving the gas pedal down it will have no power pedal does nothing then out of no where it will stutter altitude and boom all my powers back and the car takes off, does this for no matter how long it idles for or drives for. Then after like 4 days of that it stopped running. New battery new fuel pump and filter and same problem. It's not wanted to start and when I jump it kinda stutters and starts but barely. I'm about to change the sending unit (driver rear seat position) and see what that does since a buddy had similar problem and that fixed it. I'm not sure if this is only a fuel problem or if maybe anyone else has this problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

That sounds like an engine management problem. My first suspects would be the engine timing reference sensor(s), fuel pump relay, and main relay. Since they are probably all +20 years old I'd replace all of them with new OE parts.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
