    Very cold start up misfire

Ok so up here in CT its been getting real cold over night and when I wake up to go to work at 6 every morning my car has this horrible misfire. It shakes real bad and will shut right off unless I hold it at 2k for a few minutes.

It only happens when its real cold out. I checked the plugs and they are brand new, also have brand new cap rotor plug wires. When the car warms up it runs great. Btw the car is a 86 325 with a m20b25 from an 87

The signal from the temp sensor can cause the car to run way to rich. That will cause some of your issues. Ohm it out (cant remember the values but its like in neighborhood of 3-5k cold and 300 when hot).

The first suspect would be intake leaks. A smoke test will find them.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
