    M10 to M20. Won't crank!

    Here's the issue:
Mitch (brainfood) and I are swapping his '84 318i M10/auto to an M20B25 from my old 88 325is.
We seem to have everything wired properly after sifting through every possible m20 and m10 C101 diagram. The starter solenoid has both the alternator wire (red) and battery power wire (black) hooked up as well as the small solenoid energizing wire which I've tried on both top and bottom parts of the solenoid. When I turn the key to start the load relay clicks off everything in the car like it should...but no cranking.
Sorry for the lack or info/pics, I just want to see what ideas you guys bounce around.
    Thanks in advance.

I have never done the swap but could be neutral safety switch wiring needing to be bypassed? This help you any?
