Idle and coolant gauge problem. Related???

So my car a 1991 318i with a m20b25 swapped in it has been idling a little strange (never died though). Its also reading super cool in the blue. So I think its the thermostat or one of the coolant sensors. What do you think. I also need to replace my throw out bearing in the soon future (Shouldn't be related to anything)

First check if your cluster isn't acting up. Check both grounds on the back of the cluster. That and leave it running for a bit sometimes it takes a while for the gauge to "wake up", check fuses 10 & 21.
