Did I just break my starter?

Facing a sudden no start condition so I decided to check the wires that go from battery positive to starter (I've faced several no starts with this car now and have checked or replaced a whole bunch of stuff, and each time got it going again). While trying to loosen the but that holds the positive wire leads in place the bolt inside the starter that holds those leads seems to somehow have broken free inside the case? Also, any ideas on how to get that nut off now? There isn't much thread on top of the nut to get something on there to hold it and the bolt now spins relatively freely inside the case. I'm guessing its now time for a starter swap but I figured I would ask first. Thanks!

As for the no start it was running fine and then in the morning I went to turn it on and it cranked for a half second then clicks and nothing. My previous no start turned out to be a loose cam gear bolt. The one before that was dying fuel pump and old filter. And before that seemed to be misadjusted TPS and stuck ICV. It's got a new battery, new plug wires, plugs, dist. cap and rotor, rebuilt and flow tested injectors, new coolant temp sensor, CPS tests fine, alternator tested fine, new voltage regulator, new fuel pump/fllter/hoses, and new main/fuel relays, timing is also right.

    The starter requires replacement.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I hope by that you mean one rebuilt by Bosch, which is the only one I'll use.

I think he means rebuilt by Bosch as opposed to a third party. I'm not exactly sure if the one I ordered was rebuilt by Bosch but I know it is a Bosch unit, I'll have to ask the supplier for clarification.
