    2.7 stroker Overheat

    Hello guys ,
    See i stroked my M20 into a 2.7
and Before stroking everything was amazing ,
    My engine was an M20b20 , which has a 81mm bore .
i bored the block into a 84mm to fit the stroker ,
I installed a 2.5i head , AFM ,ECU ,k Camshaft , a superchip, and everything a 2.5 but the crankshaft and the pistons are SETA .
The car is a street bomb , It has a 260/5 overspeed gearbox , barley using the 1st shift , Skids all over on 2nd and 3rd .

What could be the problem .
Also Alot of pressure in the water hoses . and the heat when i do monkey business is 70% instead of 50% on my gauge .

    Yeah , here it's hot in summer , and i am using a 71 degrees thermostat .
i will install the 65 degrees one this week .

is there anything i should be checking ... ?

PS : New Water pump , radiator , water hoses , 71 thermostat , reservoir Cap (140) , and an electric fan conversion .
i am using a 12" electric pull fan , and i ordered a 16" one (still on delivery).

what can that pressure and over heat might be ?

What happens when you bleed the air out of the system at the t-stat housing bleed screw? Coolant immediately?

Yes , when i bleed the car i put it on a ramp nose up and i bleed the air out completely and still pressure and ober heat , no air inside the coolant also i use antifreeze ofc but i dunno what the problem is ?
Do you think it's the new cylinder head ?
Or as in secound post fan is too slow and small ?
Yeah also does the bonnet fire wall or heat insulation cover effect the heat with in the engine

Fans, rad, etc are all the same as a 325i one. So it shouldn't be getting hot.

When does it run hot? all the time, so even when just cruising around? in traffic? under load when you are giving it heaps?

If you open the bleed screw when it has warmed up, are you getting heaps of steam or coolant?
Just a little project im working on

You have a leaking head gasket. It could be as simple as not having had the used head surfaced or improper assembly.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Pressure in hoses plus overheat means leaking head gasket. Exhaust gases are getting in your system.

                  Solved ,
my Older Electric Fan was a 12" one , and it couldn't resist The Heat in the radiator , Also The Coolant Cap was Broken , so I had alot of Air inside my coolant
I ordered a 16 inch Fan installed it , and Installed a new Cap , now everything is perfect , and the temp stays on middle while in traffic and it moves down to first quarter while speeding .

                  Cheers .
