    Is my timing correct?

Hey so i did my timing belt tonight and am just wondering about a few things. My friend and I got everything apart and got the timing belt on. We started putting everything back on and noticed when we put the dampener and pulley back on it didn't match the lower cover. So we took it apart and lined the crank back to TDC. Still this happened again... We realized there was a timing back on the actual crank and made sure that was still lined up when we got the belt on. So both were in place at TDC when we got it tensioned and everything!

Does that all seem like its right? Does it matter that we spun the crankshaft counter clockwise?

Once we got that stuff back on and tightened things down. I decided to crank the engine by hand. We did 4 revolutions and both lines still matched up perfectly at TDC. Will this stay that way? and after 4 turns will that mean I'm perfectly timed?

Sorry for all the questions. this is my first timing job!!

    Thanks!!

It sounds like you got it right. You turned it 4 times, and the marks still line up.
