    Please help me! e30 325e.

Bought the car originally from a guy for $700. 86 325e 5 speed, very clean car however when i bought it, it wasn't running. I got the car running, happened to be fuel pumps. Im trying to get this car registered and on the road. The issue I'm having is it has almost a major leak or misfire or something, idles fine, once in awhile it will be weird but the car has a power loss. I put the car in gear and go and once i hit 2k rpm it just drops as if the car is going to shut off. I can't rev past that or anything. Once in a while when the car is in neutral i can rev it higher than 2k but it still skips at a higher rpm. I am offering a reward to who ever helps me figure this out because i need this car 100% and i cannot find the reason why to save my life. I guess this is why they say don't buy other peoples projects.. but its a great looking car. Ive replaced the following, TPS,AFM,DME,FPR,ICV,CPS,Plugs,Distributer,Rotor, and injectors however the injectors were out of my buddies parts car so they are used. Any ideas? Car won't accelerate pass 2k RPM. HELP! Thanks!!

Disconnect the battery to reset the ecu then do a smoke test to find any vacuum leaks.

Fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator?

I'm just throwing things out there... Not sure if any of them could produce your symptoms.

You didn't say anything about coolant temp sensor or any air hose. Check those.

coolant temp sensor wouldn't cause this issue i don't think.. now the car just seems like its just hitting fuel cut.. could the injectors i put in be bad or leaky ? All vacuum lines are good and i have pressure at rail.. help!! Also i unplugged o2 sensor to make sure it wasn't a clogged cat

Have you watched fuel pressure via a guage while the issue is occurring? If not put a gauge under the wiper blade and watch it while driving when the issue presents itself. And report back your findings

did a fuel test and its all smooth. pumps are working, fuel coming out of FPR, fuel is there.. i was thinking vacuum line but it runs fine at idle..

Not a clogged cat, these aren't '77 Buicks. Plug wires? Amazing what a new set can do for an engine. Timing? Have you checked compression? Ignition coil?

The bellhousing reference sensors can cause these symptoms. Maybe try to snag some off a parts car to see, they're not too hard to change.
