cam journal hone?

I finished tearing down my 885 head and was inspecting it and found some light scoring in the cam journals. one was bad enough that I could feel it with my finger nail.

Im just wondering is it necessary to get the journals honed? and if I did wouldn't the journals be to big for the cam to ride on?

Don't bother. Anything you do other than remove any burrs above the surface is going to open up the journal, which is a bad thing.
