    Take the valve cover off and turn the engine over with a breaker bar to find markings on the cam, I believe if its a oem cam it will say bmw on it.

      Did not see any BMW stamp just the two I mentioned and an "S"

          The only real way to see what cam it is is by the engravings on the end of the cam and I believe not the sprocket end 8^(

              Aside from markings on the end of the cam, if you can get a micrometer on the lobes and measure the high side and short side. Let us know the numbers and we should be able to get you in the ball park of what the cam is.
