Quik question about replacement engine need response ASAP

So I found a 91 m20b25 with only 60,000miles on it. it comes with ecu #525. would I need that ecu and harness to put in my 89 325i or will my 173 ecu and harness work?

Either will work. The engines and harnesses are the same and the DMEs are interchangeable

Wait at least a few hours before you get huffy about a lack of answers. Some of us have jobs
