    Acceleration hesitation 800-1100 rpm

    1991 325ix

Car has a hesitation while acceleration in the 800-1100 rpm range. If i feather the throttle i can get the car to accelerate fine all the way to redline.

While the car is idling if you open the throttle all the way the car bogs down and dosent rev up at all.

Things i've done to try and fix problem

Swapped in a 1984 528e afm from the junkyard
    Checked for vacuum leaks
Cleaned throttle body (very dirty) and ICV
    New spark plugs
    Junkyard Fuel pressure regulator

Check the resistace values of your tps, and measure the throttle set screw.

Why did you use a 528e afm? It may be worn, aside from being made for a different motor. Also, 800-1100rpm is very low in the rev range and no M20 will have much power or response there. You should really keep the car above 2000rpm under regular driving conditions to avoid fouling the plugs.
