89 325i, super reliable - just completed 5 speed swap and the only issue Ive had is once every couple days, usually after I've been driving and then I park for a few the thing wont turn over. Check engine and all the cluster lights come on, starter does nothing. Havent been able to duplicate the condition and it usually seems to happen while I'm driving around for work so I just wait a few minutes or so and itll start right up, or if I'm in a rush I'll just push start it. I generally check/wiggle the wires I spliced in the 5 speed swap just as a stab in the dark but there does not seem to be any direct correlation to that. When it was an automatic it used to occasionally stall out when I got off an exit ramp and came to a sudden stop.
