    looping the heater lines

So this is why you don't loop the heater core lines, the car runs hotter then normal at all times.

At freeway speeds the gauge stays in the middle. I know It is hot right now in California but at freeway speeds the temp should be lower and if I beat on it, the temp goes up higher.

So if your heater core bust do not loop the heater core lines, just fix the heater core.

BTW I am in 5th gear and I have a 3.73 if you question why my revs are high. Even before I looped the heater lines my car would never reach the halfway point on my temp gauge only In traffic.

Plug or loop? Mine are plugged and it runs hot in stop/go traffic. Was gonna loop them but it's almost time to fix it anyways, getting cold out.

i always thought my car was running too cool, is halfway too warm, even in the AZ heat mine sits on the first line unless a/c is on or sit for a long time.

Halfway is where the needle is supposed to be. Your car isn't running too warm.
