    Code 1215

Need some educated/experienced opinions. My 90 325i is my daily and I'm pretty strapped for cash at the moment. I've had a recurring issue that is getting progressively worse.
Driving just fine, no issues when suddenly the engine just decides it's not going to run. Each time I've been able to clutch in, crank it for a few seconds and it starts back up and drives normally. Stomp test shows code 1215 which indicates some kind of issue with the AFM. I checked the connection and its a tad sloppy but not such that I think its losing connection. I applied some dielectric grease to make sure the pins are getting good contact but still having it happen.

There have been a handful of times that it hasnt wanted to start in the morning but after letting is sit until the raw fuel smell dissipates from cranking and cranking it catches and runs fine.

Maybe, just maybe it's me paying more attention but the idle today seems a little bit rougher than usual. I do know the throttle response is a tad more laggy than it should be when it's tip top.

What should I go after? What kind of diagnostics can I perform in order to narrow down the issue?

Thanks in advance. I could really use an assist here.

The AFM may have worn spots in the resistance track. Replace and see if that fault comes back.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
