    Code 1223

Alright so I have a smog that's due really soon but I have a check engine light on..

The car runs ok (idle is rough sometimes, and on cold start it takes a while to stay alive, have to rev it to keep it from dying.)
But it does run fine while driving. However. I will drive, but when I come to a stop or red light, after about 10 seconds of not pressing the gas, the check engine light will come on. If I rev it just a little bit or a lot, the light goes away tho... And I will continue to drive with the light off, then when I come to a stop again, it comes back on.. Same thing

I've done stop test and gotten "code 1223." I've looked it up and found that it's the temp sensors, and I read on the forums to just replace them. So i just replaced them and put brand new ones in. It's still doing the same thing tho, and the check engine light is still acting the same. I'm not sure what to check next. If someone has had this before, some advice would be appreciated.
    Any advice?

    Thanks!

So I replaced my O2 sensor, and now my check engine light changed to "1222". It still goes away when I give it a little gas, then comes back on if I let it idle.
It can't be the O2 sensor just replaced it.
I clean out the AFM, the intake book (checked it for cracks), cleaned the ICV, and also replaced my crankcase breather hose because it was splitting at each of the ends.
    None of these fixed it.
Still rough idle, check engine light.
I check for vacuum leaks and didn't find any.
Another thing I noticed. After I rev it, when the RPM's fall back to idle, it goes down to very low RPMs, like a hicup, and then goes to normal RPM idle.
    Any thoughts?

For the idle drop, is the throttle cable tensioned?

How did you check for vacuum leaks?

Check the c191, give it a good spray of electrical cleaner. I had the same problem for a while, that cured it.

I had that same problem. I cleaned my icv, afm and checked for leaks on my intake boot and everything seemed fine. Then I found that the hose right under the throttle body that connects to the charcoal canister has ripped. Once I attached that back on it ran perfectly fine again. You might wanna check that one out. It's hard see without taking the throttle body off..hope this helps

Does it look like the bottom left port is missing the metal contact inside? It only looks like plastic to me
