Won't start, instant raw fuel smell on cranking

I haven't been able to get my car to start for a couple days, turn it over and it cranks but won't fire, and immediately smells strong of raw fuel. All ignition components have ben recently replaced. It started doing it very seldom only when cold out (SoCal so cold is like 40-50F) but eventually would start, now nothing at all. It does have 17lb injectors in it as yet untuned, but I had it on a wideband several weeks back and it was pretty close to stoich at idle and low rpm.

    Any ideas? Thanks.

I'll double check in the morning, but I had that happen already and replaced them, different smell, and leaky fuel line doesn't prevent the car from running, just gets fuel everywhere. If so its under the car, I tried seeing if it would start with the temp sensor unplugged and I think I would have noticed a leak at the rail.

        If no fuel leak.

        1. Pull a spark plug and see if motor was running rich.
        2. If rich, run a fuel pressure check ( downstream FPR)
        3. If fuel pressure is high outside spec. Bad FPR or.....
        4. Clogged fuel return line/ clogged interior tank return siphon.

These test are easy and if you don't have a Fuel pressure test gauge set pull the fuel return hose from FPR. Blow thru pulled hose to tank. Should be easy. If not you have clog-gage.
