alright so I don't know much about cars im new to the e30 scene my first car! I have a 1986 325e and I notice today that my car was dripping dark liquid that seemed to be watered down but It doesn't seem to look nor smell like oil? what may be the cause of it and how can it be fixed?

you didn't say where its specifically leaking but it sounds like your power steering is leaking. -
that or you really need an oil change.

Smell it, if it smells fruity its ATF.

Well, if it's not engine oil, it's one of the following:
ATF/Power Steering fluid
Possibly Transmission oil or Differential oil, depending on what the PO used before.
You gave no details - auto/standard, and location of said fluid under the car. This would also help.Estoguy
