Timing belt job with 'URO' parts? Would you?

    Thanks for all the input. I'm patiently awaiting my GEBA pump to arrive in the mail from FCP so I can start working on this and get to rev'ing over 4k.

    I had a VW gearhead friend take a look at it this weekend and we think it might just be the pump and/or tensioner making the noise. We used a mechanics stethoscope but it's hard pin pointing it out using it at such a high RPM (especially with a belt driven fan)

    I'm really curious what brand the PO replaced it with back in 2010. I'm friends with the PO on FB and she found the receipt- Apparently they replaced the water pump, belt and thermostat but never the tensioner :tsk:

      Ordered a GEBA pump from FCPEuro. Unfortunatly it loks a little bangged up in the box- but I think it will be fine (I hope). Bearing sounds fine, looks clean otherwise. Anything I should take note of or checkout on it before I install?
