2.7 help needed (high idle and stall on start)

Recently picked up an 87 325e for an insanely cheap price. problem was that the kid i bought it from couldnt get it started.

well I can make it start now after replacing the crank sensors.

Problem is now that once it starts it idles High and then dies. if i keep on the accelerator it will remain alive.

so, a couple of things i know that need to be handled: ICV is getting cleaned.

One thing is that the PPO removed all the retaining clips from the wiring harness.....so keeping things plugged in has been a pain in the ass (who does that?!).

Also the hose from the charcoal canister to the TB is just gone. Right now I have it plugged in directly. I need to know what purge valve is needed and if anyone has a picture of this, that would be greatly appreciated (all the google searching in the world has not come with the answer).

hell to be honest no one seems to have ever completed a thread with this issue, they all seem to trail off with no confirmation of a fix haha.

Anywho, any ideas on the above, and engine bay pictures (87 325e) would be massively appreciated. also if anyone has a wiring harness that is just taking up space please let me know, i need the damned retaining clips off each plug haha.

    Thanks!

You may also want to check the cold start injector. When mine went bad I had to give light throttle for 3-5 minutes until the engine could catch itself from dropping too low and stalling. The high rev at the beginning could just be it trying to fix it but not being able to sustain.
