Also with a K&N you can keep reusing it, to where a paper filter you have to throw away and buy a new one.

I have one that I used for about a year I'd sell. $25 shipped.

it was worth about 2-3whp and a bit of torque when I had it on a dyno.

If there is any difference it would be so small it would fall within error tolerances on a dyno. So no, not worth it.

It's really not- I had one in mine when I first bought it and replaced it with a run of the mill autozone one and there isn't any difference- only price.
