Wtf is this arm off the thermostat for?

I have the head off my e30 doing a resurface cuz I blew my head gasket like a dummy. I forget what hose goes on this arm of my thermostat housing, to be honest I dont remember even taking a hose off this piece. It was clogged so bad before I cleaned it. I may not have had anything on it but I want to know if there was something and where ot should be routed too. Thanks in advance for the help.

Looks like its from the m20, that hose comes from the throttle body, and wraps around and up to connect there. I may have a pic I will post it up if I find it.

Its definitely from the m20 I just don't remember it goin to the throttle body I just remember the two coolant hoses from the water jacket connecting on the throttle body. I would love to see the picture though.
