    Custom Oil Cooler Lines

    Hi Guys,

Almost done with my M20 swap into a 2002. I'm using the factory oil cooler but need to make/buy flexible lines. They are high pressure so I assume it would need some type of screw/clamp on fittings. Has anyone done this and maybe has a parts list to do this cheaply?

Theres this, but it is wayyy expensive.

goto a local hydraulics shop, there has to be one in ND due to the oil fields.

Also, look on eBay for used lines. Just type in "aeromotive AN8" or whatever size you need. You can save alot of money this way, NASCAR teams list their old lines up all the time for under $30 each

i have a 2002 that I swapped in an m20 and to be honest I didn't run the oil cooler I mounted the oil filter straight to the block., im not saying this the right way to go but you could if you want , I know you have a tight space to work with.. But as far as hoses go you can get them at hose-man if you have one where your at .

Yes, I have that piece that replaces the oil cooler block, but I have the room and it would be badass to use it. My build is no-cut to the front valence, and its been tough. Not starting to cut corners at this point!

I checked out one hydraulics shop, it was a no go. Will try another spot tomorrow.

No cut ? So you bashed your firewall tray ? What tranny are you using ? I cut maybe 2 1/2 inches off the front to fit the radiator .. Are you going to use the e30 oil cooler or an after market ?

I pulled a oil cooler from a Volvo idk what model but it was turbo'd. Just bought a adapter to convert to an fitting and ran the oem sandwich with 90 degree an fittings to the oil cooler.

I made two small slits in the firewall tray, and used an air hammer to kind of box them back. Then welded two triangles to fill the voids. The front valance is completely intact. The motor and trans is as low and far back as possible. Using the stock E30 oil cooler.

M20B25 and a G260. It was off a E30 325i parts car, I basically bought the whole car and gutted it. The driveshaft ALMOST fit, if the mounts I made put the motor 1/2 an inch forward, it would have..
