    Motor Swap

I have a 1987 325e. Putting a motor in from a 325i. The e transmission will remain in the car. I bought a single mass flywheel to go with the i engine. I also but a clutch for the i series engine.

My question is, what makes up the difference for the dual mass flywheel to the single mass? Isn't there going to be a 1-2 inch gap?

If I remember right, there was a post where someone used a throwout bearing from an early model 323. Just looked it up, its the thicker Sachs throw-out bearing (PN-21-51-12-04-525)
