Another 325e to 325i Swap Question...

So, I have the possibility of picking up an 89 325i with around 130k for cheap and was thinking this would be the perfect candidate for an engine swap into my 86 325e. I've read the StrictlyETA DIY which details an 86-87 swap, but I wasn't sure if there were any major changes in wiring or anything else with the facelift cars that would potentially cause an issue during the swap.

with the 89 harness you will have to run a few wires if you have an on board computer and want everything to still work (as well as economy gage in the cluster). The car will still run without doing this, so you can at least get it going. Most of the info you need is on strictly eta.

-also, something I had to do was splice a wire from the cruise control speed signal wire to the ecu or there will be a fuel cut ~6200 rpms.
