Is there any way to tell if you head is a early or late model. Im doing a E to I swap and the member did not remember if the head was early or late model any help will be appreciated. While looking at certain parts like water pump and hoses in general, its changes is there any way to tell.

I'll pipe up with only being about 90% sure - is that the 885 head - there was not an early or late model.
It was the e model head that had an early and late model change.
Look at the stamp on the side of the head.
The 200 head for the "e" had a later design change - I think it went to the 731 head - which had larger intake ports.
