    eta bottom, and (i) head.

i have a 87 325 eta. and i heard yo ucould use the (i) head on the 2.7 bottom. but is this for super etas only or can you do it with just the eta. also what else do yo uneed for the conversion.

oh yeah and another question with the lower reving 325. (4500 redline) can you turbo these engines or is it pointless because once the turbo starts spooling you will only have like 1500rpm of boosting?
    thanks.

You can turbo anything, but like you said - it's kind of pointless.

No, the non-superEta bottom ends use a flat top piston design, whereas the I-head uses a domed piston design. You'll end up with something like 7.5 compression or something. However, you could turbo that - it would just have lots of lag.
