i Head on Eta Motor w/ High Comp. Pistons

Say you had original BMW 11:1 or 10.2:1 compression Eta pistons, say, from Europe --- installed in a standard '86 Eta motor --- could you install the i head and enjoy a torquey motor that revs, after some tuning?

I assume the compression would end up a point or so lower than 11:1 / 10.2:1, w/ such a swap.

Or are there other issues that must be faced first?

There is a guy in that thread that is doing it, He says the valve reliefs need to be made larger for the larger I valves. I was orig. going this route about 3 years ago, but got screwed over on a set of pistons and swapped in the m30 instead.

Question --- think the 10.2:1 pistons would need to have the reliefs opened up? They may have more clearance for the valves... ? Or is it driven by the bigger diameter of the i valves?

I believe it's the diameter of the I valves.
