Not at all if anything its better atleast that what i have... stock regulator two clear filters and my AEM pump 300 bought it for 100 ... and actually just recently just put e36 m3 injectors on my car and get better mpgs! The famius pink injectors... why? Well they are rhe 4 hole style and a long time ago i heard m3 run 3.5 bar and the oem injectors are 21.5 so at 3.0 bar which is what e30s run they should fine

        Damn, talk about a steal!!

Since I have delved back in the E30 scene after a 8 year vacation, I have been making regular trips to the local Pull a Part. It seems E30's are becoming a rarity. I remember years ago when I was first into E30's, there would be 5-10 of them at the junk yard. Now I go and there is 1 shell with about 5 parts left and 12 people fighting for them. Its sad.... Plus new part prices have gone through the roof! has anyone seen how much a new dash is now! Holy sh*t. Last time I bought one they were 300.

So last week I checked the resistance on the injectors and they were all 2.1. So I figured right on they are good. Starting thinking I should check then better. So pulled injectors this morning and just tried to flow test them. 2 injectors would not even activate. Seems the solonoid in 2 of them is burnt out. Off the the junkyard for 19 pounders.

pink top injectors in your car is just straight up retarded. hate to say it but it isnt helping anything. they flow so much more than stock, your DME is probably having a heart attack just trying to run the car. I watched your new video and it sounds like its not getting enough fuel or maybe too much. Its hard to say. If it has black smoke then you are obviously running rich.

Get the original injectors rebuilt and check your fuel pressure. it should be 2.5 bar.

cutting corners and using parts that "will be fine" is nto gonna do you any favors.

the valves in the video sounded pretty loud too so they should be adjusted asap

                    Ummm ok thanks I think.

And I do not use sub par, or whatever part is laying around.

Just in case anyone else is wondering. I do not have pink top injectors. I use 4 hole Bosch yellow top that are 19#s at 3.0 bar. At 2.5 bar they are almost identical to the stock injector flow with the exception of being much more efficient. I have used them on every e30 I have owned.

The current car was bought with a misfire. I just wanted to know if anyone had ever heard a misfire from bad valve adjustment.

Thank you for leaving a comment though.

The 19# injectors are high impedance, and as you measured the eta uses low impedance injectors. I'm surprised the car ran at all. Get your injectors rebuilt and diagnose further from there.
Also it's 17.5# injectors that flow close to stock at 2.5 bar. 19# will flow about 16# at 2.5bar.

Your math makes lots of sense but where are you getting the numbers from? Just for later when im doing other builds

Besides stop calling people retarted....obviously pink fuel injectors have a better flow... may be the main reason i swapped them... do they same math you did above except these are 21.5# ....mind blowing

High impedance injectors can be used on a low impedance ECU. But The opposite is not true. The peak and hold low impedance injectors will over heat on a high impedance system leading to premature injector driver failure.

That is the great thing about having low resistance injector drivers, you can use either type of injector. If you have a high resistance drivers in your ECU than you are stuck using high only.

in case any one is interested this is a good article about the differences and compatibility of low and high impedance injectors.

This is a excerpt from the bottom of the link I provided.

"It is possible, though, to install high resistance injectors in a peak-and-hold system since the amperage needed to open the high resistance injector is lower and within the limits of the peak-and-hold driver circuit."

And the stock ETA injectors are already above 80% duty cycle. They are good for 170hp. Any power adders will push them closer to 100% duty cycle which is not good for injectors. a slightly larger injector will allow for a smaller duty cycle. This topic was extensively researched a few years back on e30tech. if you search there is lots of info on it.
