M20 Replace cam without pulling head?

M20 in a 89 E30 (325i) is it possible to replace the cam without pulling the head? The cam shaft broke between the #6 intake and exhaust lobes and I'm wondering if I remove the radiator, etc. if I can get the cam out the front?

The only way to do that would be to remove the front radiator support from the car..IE cut it out and weld it back in.

    Not worth it.

    Just yank the head.

if the cam broke you may have bigger problems than just the cam

You can pull the cam all the way out if the radiator and ac condensor are out of the way. I pulled mine halfway but it would not interfere with the core support. If it were a problem, the motor would only need to tilt forward slightly. I believe the intake side rocker shaft is the only thing that will hit the core support.
