Car smokes up every time I get off the freeway?

As the title says, every time I get off the freeway I could see thin smoke right outside my side windows. They seem to be coming from under the car. I had my dad follow me while I was on the freeway and he confirmed this. I know I have a valve cover gasket leak and that only smokes up sometimes when the oil lands on the headers, but I don't think this would cause what I'm experiencing. Could it be my transmission fluid leaking onto my exhaust/cat? If so, how do I check this?

Yeah I could smell some burning inside but it's nothing intense. It becomes a lot stronger after sitting for a minute though. The color is a very, very faint white but not that sure on this because I only see it from the inside. It's a manual.
