    M20B25 swap or M20B25 head swap in a M20B27?

Hello, I have a 86 325 with a M20B27 right now that needs a new head gasket. I acquired a nice M20B25 the other day with harness and DME. My question is, should I just do a M20B25 engine swap or just swap the M20B25 head on my M20B27? I might one day go turbo but not in the near future, so base it off just being N/A now.
    Thanks guys

i have the exact same situation right now. i decided on swapping the entire engine. youre going to need the harness and DME from a 1987 m20b25 so if thats not what you have now, you may run into some problems

I have an 89 engine and harness. No one has an opinion on engine vs motor?

I also had an 86 325 with M20B27 and just finished a B25 head swap on it from an 89 325i. The car pulls amazingly and is much faster. It is a night and day difference from the B27. Although I have never driven a B25... so I'm not 100% sure which is better. If you are thinking turbo one day, the B25 head swap would be ideal for you; plus you can still enjoy the car N/A.

        Just my 2 cents.
