So earlier today i was driving around and noticed a bit of vibration around 2-4k rmp coming from the rear, which was not there before. I decided to have a look. Checked for wheel bearings, and had no luck. I had recently installed a junkyard LSD( Installed nearly a year ago) So i decided to give it a look. As i was spinning the wheel i felt an object hit my glasses and found a small peace of copper that was not there when i first got under the car. The piece of copper seemed to be some sort of bearing material. I shook the wheels again to see if i could repeat the incident and again another piece fell. The pieces were falling from the area where the driveshaft mates with the differential as shown in these pictures:

Copper material looks like this:

Any idea where this material is coming from? is it a bearing?
If so, what is the bearing called and where is it located?
**Sorry for my lack of knowledge**
