I have an 85 325e that had a pretty nasty engine harness. I put in an 86 harness and made and adapter for the square 101. I can't get the car to give me spark. I've looked over my work quite a few times and can't figure it out. I have fuel but no spark. Reference sensors are in place and not switched. I have power to coil so it seems like for some reason motronic is not grounding coil for spark. Any ideas welcome.

E30Zone.net has some good diagrams of harness swaps. I used them for my m20b27 swap to m20b25 using the m20b25 engine harness and doing the same transition from round harness plug to square plug. The wiring diagrams are under the m20b25 engine swap article. -
Does anyone know what all needs to be in place for dme to make spark happen? Power to DME, Reference sensors, power to coil....Comment
