can a bad valve adjustment cause a miss fire? i went to adjust my valves and did 1 and 5 and realized that they were all pretty much is spec. after putting everything back on i went to move my car and it started miss firing. replaced all spark plugs because i already had new ones and was going to do it anyways and it didnt do anything. ignition coil, plug wires, cps, cap and rotor and a bunch of other stuff was replaced within the last year and i've never had a problem till now. can a bad valve adjustment (1 and 5) really cause it to miss fire? any help is much appreciated. this is my daily driver and only car so i need to fix it as soon as possible!

Its likely you have a problem with something else.
My shop is in Costa Mesa by the airport ill happily take a look at it with you free of charge. -
i also just realized that i was supposed to be doing it on the valve tip instead of the cam lobe. could that be the problem? if i cant get this fixed i may have to bring it by your shop. thank you!_keepitgutter

yeah the measurement is different at the cam lobe. You want to measure at the tappet if you're going for .010"

well turns out to be my clearances were way to tight, couldn't even fit my smallest feeler gauge (.008) in between. backed it off to about .010-.011 and it runs how it used too. Thanks everyone for the inputs. very appreciative_keepitgutter
