    swapping an M20b25 into an 84 325e.

    Hi guys, I have an 84 325e. (November/1983 build)
I pulled the E motor and swapping in an i motor from an 86 325i.

I searched for this, but can't figure out the search terms, or even what the name of this plug is called. I'm hoping someone can help here?

I need to mate my new i harness to my existing harness (by the fuse box)

Is there a diy/adapter.. etc that I can use to connect them?

here is a pic of my current one.

    c101 engine wiring harness connector.

wwwE30zone.net is where you will be able to matching the 325e engine wiring harness color code wiring with the 325i engine wiring harness color codes. You need the female and male side of both wiring harnesses to make up your own adapter. I used E30zone.net when I wired up my 1985 325e and 1989 325i engine swap.

With e30zone gone I'm not really sure where to source the information for swapping a b25 into a pre 86 model. whatever is out there is quite obscure. what I'm pretty sure about is that you will need to use a pre-1988 harness to mate with the c104 in the glove box.
