What is this plug for??

My engine oil light is on in the check panel.... Is this plug the sensor for it?? If so.... Where does it lead back to....?
The pic is taken from right side.... You can see the oil plug below

That's oil pressure in your cluster. The oil level light in the check panel is fed from below the alternator in top of the oil pan.

Ok thanks.... The one on the pan is a bitch to get to and replace...

Just a heads up - I've found the 2 oil level sensor plugs ive dealt with to be prone to crumbling away. If yours does that you can just get a bosch ev1 plug for it for like $10 or so instead of a whole new sensor.
