ANY HELP APPRECIATED: Whirring noise from engine at certain RPM's

    Info on the car: 87 325iS (m20b25)

I have this strong whirring/humming noise coming from the front end of my car when I am accelerating/decelerating at ~2.75k rpm and never at any other RPM(or so it seems). It happens in every gear but not when I am in neutral. The sound appears stronger at higher speeds. I recently replaced the timing belt, water pump, thermostat but the noise came a while after doing those. What should I check? Any input would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
