    M20 Flywheel felt ring # 11211744601 NLA , Question

In the process of rebuilding the M20, tried to order the flywheel felt ring seal and it is now NLA. Is this part necessary ? If so, what did you use ? Thanks

Same here. I just put it together without it, no problems in 20k miles. If I had to guess what it’s for it’s probably either puts slight preload on the input shaft or it held the grease in for the old style open pilot bearing.

Its NLA because the superseding part is now a sealed bearing; the sealed pilot bearing is all you need.
